Sequencing Fun

September 25, 2012

One of the reading skills we have been working on in class is correctly sequencing events from a story we have previously read.  Last week we read the story, There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly by Simms Taback.  After we read the story, students constructed their own Old Lady and things eaten with a paperbag and picture cut-outs.  We then retold the story using our props.  My students had a great time retelling the story as a hands-on activity!
