Who Is This Unknown Compound

December 12, 2012

Advance Chemistry students identified “unknown” compounds by comparing its reaction to those of some “known” compounds.  This experiment emphasizes the importance of accurate observations and the inferences that can be drawn from those observations.  If you make accurate observations and record them faithfully, you will be able to identify the unknown compound without difficulty.  Accurate observations are the only criterion for success.

Tucker Pletcher, Travis Tredway, Sarah Lindvall, and Aaron Houin are members of the Advanced Chemistry class at Plymouth High School taught by Donna Chaney.  This curriculum follows Indiana University C105/C125 course syllabus by which the student may receive five credit hours to the university.
