A Day In The Life

U.S. History class at PHS grouped students to create a collaborative project to research “A Day In The Life” as either a miner, rancher, or farmer in the latter half of the 1800’s.  Students were to research this profession, taking notes on the tasks, the journey, the hardships, and the personal lifestyle documented for their chosen occupation.  After researching, students composed and edited a descriptive first-person narrative of an average day.  Descriptive details were important for this writing piece so the students could compile a visual presentation to go along with their essay.  Following is an example:
