School of Inquiry Tech Fair a Great Success!

January 15, 2013

Students in Mrs. Felke and Mrs. Tyree’s 21st Century Communications course in the Weidner School of Inquiry put on a technology fair for our community last month! Students exhibited various forms of technology (including Twitter, Facebook, Trello, Tumblr, PicMonkey, Popplet, Survey Monkey, Pinterest, and many more)  in the multi-purpose room before the boys JV/Varsity Basketball game on the evening of December 20th!  If you missed our tech fair, you can visit our Scoop. It  site curated by the presentation management team.

As we prepared for this project, many times the learners voiced concerns that no one would visit. Our hard working student led “Project Management Team” worked diligently to plan, market, and promote this event and we were not disappointed with our turnout! We have had many inquiries as to when we would be having another tech fair.   At the conclusion of every project we always reflect (learners and facilitators alike)! While the students created a written reflection, please click here to see their reactions on Wallwisher to these 4 questions the night after the tech fair:

  1. Describe some of the feedback you received from your guests.
  2. What was an AHA moment you had during the tech fair?
  3. What would you do differently the next time?
  4. How did you feel about giving back to your community?
